Safari Conversions (Pty) Ltd, based in Rosslyn, South Africa, was established in March 2001 because of the global strategy adopted by Nissan South Africa in outsourcing no-core business.
The partners in the business believe that they should continue supplying converted open game viewing vehicles, which they have supplied for the last five years to this niche market.

These markets include both the National Parks and private game lodges in South Africa and into Africa.

Secondary to the above is to providing a one-stop service to bush loving customers in manufacturing specialised items and conversions according to their needs. Our most claim to fame would be that of customised according to customer requirements.

The company’s two shareholders was responsible for all build- and quality activities in the Special Vehicles Division of Nissan South Africa from 1996 until mid 2000 during which time approximately 350 vehicles have been build.

The same workforce including welders, trimmers, fitters etc. responsible for building the vehicles are also employed by Safari Conversions, therefore maintaining the quality appreciated by their clients.

Safari Conversions does conversions to any make of vehicle, 2nd hand or new as well as refurbishment of existing vehicles.

Tour Operators call us by our first names due to our superior quality and conversion type and the friendship we have build-up with the clients.

The Kruger National Park uses our specification for tender purposes. Our conversions are tailor made to provide maximum opportunity for wildlife sighting and photography according to the legal and client requirements of the applicable country.
